By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Hopedale has joined Hopkinton in banning the use of lawn sprinklers for now. Hopedale officials say due to the current drought conditions and extremely low levels in the department’s wells and the fire flow storage tank, all non-essential outside watering with sprinklers is prohibited. You can use handheld watering for vegetable gardens and newly seeded laws until they are established. And they say if you have a separate well you use for irrigation, you will need to post a sign in your yard or you could get fined.
