UXBRIDGE – A historic mill building that dates back more than two centuries is preparing for a new chapter.

McGovern MHQ, a company that specializes in outfitting emergency response vehicles, has reportedly purchased the historic Rivulet Mill in Uxbridge. Built in 1814, the former textile mill is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

According to the company, the acquisition will allow it to double the production space for its truck equipment operations, which are currently based in a leased facility in Oxford. Officials have not yet announced renovation plans or how the historic building will be adapted for its new manufacturing use.
