HOPKINTON – State and local agencies continue to investigate the death of an 86-year-old woman at the Golden Pond assisted living facility. She was found dead in her unit on September 30, and police say the temperature inside the apartment was 99 degrees. The facility had switched from air conditioning to heat the day before.
The Hopkinton Independent reports Golden Pond failed two compliance reviews in 2023, and services at the facility were suspended in 2025 for failing to meet state requirements. The investigation into the woman’s death remains ongoing.
