ByMyFM’s Claire Beverly – Work starts soon on construction of a PFAS treatment addition for one of the Town of Franklin’s wells. Officials say the Well 7/7A PFAS Treatment Facility Addition, which is financed with a 0% loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund, is expected to be done by 2026. The town stopped using the well in 2020 when the PFAS concentration there got too high but they say the new granular activated carbon pressure vessels will filter the PFAS to below the regulated limits for continued use.
