Franklin officials have approved a series of cuts to the town and school district budgets in the wake of Tuesday’s Special Election failure of a $3.8 million tax override. Franklin Matters reports following a Town Council meeting Wednesday night, they opted to cut eight personnel from the Town and at least 12 from the schools. The Town cuts include having to bench the third ambulance they say not only increases response times but also loses revenue for the town when the ambulance runs lead to a hospital stay.
