By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Franklin has been awarded $8.5 million in grant funding for the Franklin Ridge Senior Housing project. Town Administrator Jamie Hellen says $2.5 million comes from the Low Income Federal Tax Credit and $6 million from the state’s Executive Office of Housing and Livable communities subsidies. Hellen says with only 19 cities and towns given money it speaks to the Town’s consistent and collective advocacy, as well as the shovel ready nature of the project. He says there will likely be a project update this spring.
