The power rate will be going down for users of the Town of Franklin’s Community Choice Power Supply Program. The Town says when their current contract expires in November, the new agreement will lower the fixed rate from the current 15.1 cents per kilowatt-hour down to 13.9 cents which will be in place through November 2028. Officials say it will save the average power user about $84 dollars a year.
