Franklin voters may be asked for another tax override for next year’s town budget. After months of work and several listening sessions, this week the Joint Budget Subcommittee, which is made up of members of the Town Council, School Committee, and Finance Committee voted to recommend to the Town Council that they ask voters for a $3.86 million override for Fiscal Year 2026. Franklin Matters reports they voted to recommend a date of Tuesday, June 3 for the election.
