FRANKLIN – Residents who need extra room for household trash will now pay a little more for official Town of Franklin overflow trash bags.
The Department of Public Works has increased the cost of a bundle of five overflow bags to $20.
The bags are required for any household trash that does not fit inside a resident’s curbside trash cart. Only official Town of Franklin overflow bags will be collected by Waste Management as part of the town’s curbside trash and recycling program.
Residents can purchase the bags at the DPW Administrative Office on Fisher Street.
