Franklin Implements New Road Closure for Beaver Street Interceptor Upgrade

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – A new road closure starts today in Franklin in relation to the Beaver Street Interceptor upgrade. The Department of Public Works says construction crews are advancing further onto Old West Central Street and traffic will be detoured to Tri-County Drive. They say while access to the area may look different as work continues, they are working with school staff to ensure safety as well as ensuring local businesses remain open. Work began last Fall on the 108-year-old pipeline which will take until summer 2026 to replace.
