FRANKLIN — As demand for food assistance continues to reach unprecedented levels in the community, the Franklin Food Pantry is calling on residents to lend a hand by joining its volunteer team.

The Pantry is currently seeking energetic volunteers to help support its weekday operations. Volunteers play a critical role in ensuring food reaches individuals and families in need, helping keep daily operations running efficiently as the organization serves a growing number of neighbors.

Those interested in volunteering should be comfortable performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy boxes, and have the stamina to work in an active, fast-paced environment.

Officials say volunteering at the Franklin Food Pantry offers an opportunity to make an immediate and meaningful impact while building connections within the community. Every shift helps ensure local families have access to nutritious food during a time of increasing need.

Residents interested in becoming a volunteer can complete an application at www.franklinfoodpantry.org/volunteer or contact Associate Director Laura Doherty by email at [email protected] for more information.
