Franklin Food Pantry Receives Grant for Sustainable Initiatives

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – The Franklin Food Pantry has been awarded a grant for efforts towards advancing a sustainable environment. The Pantry has been named a Citizens’ Bank 2024 Champion in Action and will receive $50,000 in unrestricted funding as well as public relations support and volunteer support from the Citizens’ Bank community.  Executive Director Tina Powderly says they will use the grant to put solar panels in their new building which will ultimately help reduce operating costs and improve their environmental footprint.
