Franklin Food Pantry Hosts Free Event Tonight on Food Recovery and Hunger Action

By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – September is Hunger Action Month and the Franklin Food Pantry has a free event tonight called “Wasted Food, Hunger, and the Climate Emergency: How Food Recovery Helps.” Liz Miller of food recovery organization Spoonful will present on how collecting fresh, edible food that would otherwise go to waste, and distributing it to social service agencies like The Pantry can help address food insecurity.
