By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – Fees for curbside trash and recycling pickup could be going up in Franklin. At their meeting tonight the Town Council will consider approving a new fee of $336 a year, up from $286, which the town says is due to rising costs beyond their control. Officials say since China stopped accepting recycling, rates have gone up and inflation has seen more of an effect this year. This would be the first time in 20 years the rate goes over $300 a year. The Town Finance Committee approved it when they met last week.
