FRANKLIN – Franklin’s 250th birthday is still more than a year away, but planning is already underway for the milestone celebration.
Franklin will mark the 250th anniversary of its incorporation on March 2nd, 2028, and the Franklin 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee is inviting residents to become part of the planning process.
The committee will hold a general meeting Thursday, August 27, at 7 p.m. at the Franklin Municipal Building.
Planning for the anniversary includes community events and programming, educational initiatives, historical preservation projects and partnerships with organizations throughout Franklin.
Residents attending the meeting will also have an opportunity to ask questions, offer ideas and learn more about how they can participate as Franklin prepares to celebrate its 250-year history.
