Hopkinton Fire Officials say a fire that did major damage to a barn and metal forge on Montana Rd Thursday night was likely an accident. Fire Chief Gary Daugherty Jr tells the Daily News no one was hurt in the fire reported around 10:30 pm and also brought out firefighters from Ashland, Milford, Southborough, Upton and Westborough. The Chief says that while there is heavy damage, the building is not a total loss. He says the cause of the fire remains under investigation but is so far not suspicious.
