MILFORD – Cooling centers remain available in Milford as an Extreme Heat Warning continues through Saturday night.
The National Weather Service says temperatures will approach 100 degrees each day, with humidity pushing heat index values as high as 115 degrees.
Residents seeking relief from the heat can visit the Milford Town Library today from 9 AM to 4 PM or the Milford Senior Center until 4:30 PM. Since town buildings will be closed Friday for the holiday, the Birch Street Fire Station will serve as a cooling center from 8 AM to 6 PM.
