By MyFM’s Claire Beverly – October is Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Month and a team of Bellingham firefighter/paramedics and a local citizen are being recognized for saving the life of a man suffering cardiac arrest using CPR. Chief William Miller says Saturday afternoon Bellingham Fire was dispatched to the incident with the family member who called 911 actively performing CPR. The team of Lt. Zack Spencer, Tim Cole, Johnathan Szerlag and David Howard took over the CPR and also used a defibrillator to get the man’s pulse restarted. The chief says the man is expected to make a full recovery.
