FRANKLIN – Drivers in Franklin should expect traffic delays this week as work continues on the town’s major Beaver Street Interceptor Upgrade Project.
Beaver Street is scheduled to be closed between West Central Street and the Franklin Recreation Center from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day through Friday. Traffic is being detoured via Grove Street, including access to businesses and homes located along the affected section of Beaver Street.
Additional work is also underway on West Central Street, where the southbound lane between Burger King and Beaver Street is being restricted while contractors reinstall sidewalks. The interceptor project is part of Franklin’s long-term effort to modernize aging sewer infrastructure.
