The Whitinsville-Christian Crusaders boys’ track and field team asserted their league supremacy at the Dual Valley Conference Championships Tuesday, amassing 154 points to win the title by a 28-point margin over Nipmuc. Six schools competed, but the Crusaders claimed top honors in a majority of events, leaving little doubt about their depth and versatility. Whitinsville-Christian took first place in the 110-meter hurdles, 400-meter dash, 400-meter hurdles, 4×400 relay, long jump, and triple jump. Their relay squads displayed flawless baton exchanges, while hurdlers and sprinters combined explosive starts with technical precision. In the jumping events, the Crusaders’ athletes exhibited remarkable consistency, often finishing well ahead of the field. This championship performance capped a season of steady development, as the Crusaders have cultivated talent across sprints, hurdles, jumps, and relays. Their balanced roster and disciplined training have paid dividends, positioning Whitinsville-Christian as a serious threat in upcoming sectional and state meets. With momentum firmly in their favor, the Crusaders now turn their focus to postseason competition, eager to leverage this league title as a springboard for greater success.
