Milford Post 59 Rolls Past Northboro in Offensive Showcase

MILFORD — Milford Post 59 erupted for 19 runs Tuesday night at Fino Field, cruising to a 19-5 victory over Northboro Post 234 in American Legion Baseball action.

Milford wasted little time taking control, scoring four runs in the first inning and adding two more in the second. After Northboro plated four runs in the third to briefly make it a game, Post 59 responded immediately with four runs of its own before breaking things open with a nine-run fourth inning.

Milford finished with 11 hits while drawing 11 walks and taking advantage of several Northboro miscues. Brayden Lewis led the offensive attack, going 3-for-3 with four runs scored and three RBI. Joey McGee also had a perfect night at the plate, collecting three hits and driving in a run.

Josh Giancola added two hits and two RBI, while Nick Pedroli drove in a pair of runs from the leadoff spot. Jackson Fournier scored twice and knocked in a run, and Sean Burchard crossed the plate three times while driving in two.

On the mound, Jaxen Lindsey earned the win, allowing just four hits over four innings while striking out four. Adam Dubowik worked the final inning in relief.

Northboro was paced by Hunter Sether Kang, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Liam Murphy scored twice and drove in a run.

Milford improves its momentum heading deeper into the District 5 schedule. They currently sit 2nd in the District 4 standings with an 8-2 record, trailing only Leominster Post 151. Milford hosts a doubleheader tonight against North County Post 193 at Fino Field. First pitch of game 1 is slated for 5:00PM.
