Franklin boys soccer earned a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Mansfield yesterday in a Hockomock League matchup, relying on a strong defensive performance to secure the win.
The Panthers held Mansfield scoreless throughout the contest, preserving their clean sheet and standing tall defensively to protect the one-goal advantage. Franklin’s defensive effort proved to be the difference as the team came away with the league victory.
Franklin will look to carry that momentum into its next matchup when it travels to face Bishop Feehan on Saturday at 3:45 p.m.
Mansfield will also be on the road Saturday, taking on Westborough at 11 a.m. as the Hornets look to bounce back from the loss.
