Blackstone Valley’s boys lacrosse team turned in one of its best performances of the season yesterday afternoon, rolling past Auburn 15-9 in a convincing win. The Beavers were in control for much of the afternoon and consistently put the Rockets under pressure with quick transitions, strong finishing, and balanced scoring from across the lineup.

Case O’Connell was the clear offensive leader, piling up four goals and four assists in a game where he dictated the pace every time Blackstone Valley pushed the ball forward. Cooper Bellan, Joey Peshler, and Ben Peshler each added two goals, giving the Beavers multiple scoring threats and making it difficult for Auburn to key on just one player. That kind of team balance helped Blackstone Valley stay in rhythm and build separation as the game wore on.

The win improves the Beavers to 4-3 after their previous 10-8 loss to Hudson. Blackstone Valley has now shown it can respond well after setbacks, which is a promising sign as the season continues. Next up is Tantasqua on Tuesday at 11 a.m., and the Beavers will look to keep their momentum going against a Warriors team that enters at 2-4 and still has two games before the matchup. Blackstone Valley should have confidence heading into that one after a strong offensive showing.
