The Blackstone Valley RVT Beavers girls’ lacrosse team fought hard but fell 15–8 to Bay Path on Sunday. Although Bay Path’s offense ultimately pulled away, the Beavers matched the Minutemen’s intensity in transitions and ground-ball battles for much of the first half. Bay Path’s top scorers dominated, but the Beavers responded with timely goals across their attack. Defensively, Blackstone Valley forced turnovers and limited extra-man opportunities, while their goalie made several critical saves to keep the score respectable. Despite their 1–10 record, the Beavers showed growth that bodes well for next season. Their development was especially evident in how they maintained composure after conceding runs, immediately regrouping and generating scoring opportunities of their own. Blackstone Valley RVT will return home today at 3 PM to face Assabet, followed by a Friday rematch with Sizer. Both opponents have struggled this season, offering the Beavers the chance to secure back-to-back victories and end on a high note. If they can carry the lessons from this competitive outing, strong rides, solid clears, and disciplined defense, into their final games, the Beavers can finish with renewed confidence.
