CHARLTON — Project New Hope will host its 9th Annual Birdies for Vets Golf Tournament on Saturday, Aug. 15, at Heritage Country Club in Charlton, bringing golfers together for a day of competition and fundraising in support of local veterans.

Registration begins at noon, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. The entry fee is $150 per player and includes golf, a cart, dinner and prizes.

Lunch will be provided by Chick-fil-A of Worcester, while Wagner Motors is sponsoring the tournament’s hole-in-one car prize. Prize packs, raffle items and other product donations are being supported by Texas Roadhouse Worcester and Polar Beverages.

Organizers are also offering several ways for businesses and community members to support the event beyond playing. Sponsorship opportunities include hole sponsorships at multiple levels, donations, raffle items and opportunities to sponsor a veteran’s registration fee.

Project New Hope is a nonprofit organization that provides support and resources for veterans and their families, and proceeds from the Birdies for Vets tournament will help further that mission.

The tournament takes place Saturday, Aug. 15 at Heritage Country Club in Charlton, with registration beginning at noon and play starting at 1 p.m.
