MASSACHUSETTS – State Representative Michael Soter (R-Bellingham) announced that Bellingham, Medway and Uxbridge have received a combined $85,000 in grant funding to expand career-connected learning opportunities and help students prepare for their futures.

Medway received $32,000, Bellingham received $7,000, and Uxbridge received $46,000 through grant programs supporting My Career and Academic Plan (MyCAP) and other career-connected learning initiatives.

MyCAP is a student planning process designed to help students graduate with a personalized plan for life after high school. The grants support activities that allow students to identify their strengths, skills and interests while exploring potential career paths through real-world and interactive learning experiences.

The funding also supports work-based learning opportunities, giving students hands-on exposure across the career development spectrum, from career awareness and exploration to more immersive experiences.

“Preparing our students for success means giving them opportunities to explore their interests and understand the educational and career pathways available to them,” Soter said. “I am pleased to see Bellingham, Medway, and Uxbridge receive this funding to expand career-connected learning and help students develop meaningful plans for their futures.”
