DOUGLAS – McGoldrick Property Services recently volunteered its time to help revitalize a garden bed at historic Soldiers Field, ahead of a ceremony commemorating the 80th anniversary of a historic Red Sox-Yankees exhibition game played in Douglas.
On September 15th, 2026, Matt McGoldrick, his wife Kelsey, and Mike Godowski of Godspeed Mobile Mechanic worked to refresh the garden bed before the town unveiled two new signs recognizing the historic baseball game.
Despite having one of its primary vehicles out of service and working from a rented U-Haul box truck, McGoldrick Property Services made the project a priority. Chamberlain Construction also stepped in and donated the hemlock mulch used for the project.
The volunteers worked until roughly 15 minutes before the dedication ceremony, then joined the community to watch the unveiling.

“We love this town. We want to honor its history and help take care of it. It takes a village,” said Matt McGoldrick from McGoldrick Property Services.
More information about McGoldrick Property Services LLC, including its landscaping and property services, is available on its website.
