MILFORD – MyFM 101.3 recently welcomed Paul “Paulie” Veneto, the retired United Airlines flight attendant behind Paulie’s Push, to the station to discuss his mission of honoring the airline crews killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

Veneto has pushed an airline beverage cart more than 750 miles along routes representing the flight paths of the four aircraft hijacked that day. Through Paulie’s Push, he honors the flight attendants and crew members he describes as the “first, first responders” of September 11th, working to ensure their courage and sacrifice remain part of the story remembered by future generations.

His first major push came in 2021, when he traveled from Boston Logan International Airport to Ground Zero in New York City in honor of the crew of United Airlines Flight 175.

In 2022, Veneto pushed from Washington Dulles International Airport to the Pentagon in honor of American Airlines Flight 77.

His journey continued in 2023, when he traveled from Newark Liberty International Airport to the Flight 93 National Memorial near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, honoring those aboard United Airlines Flight 93.

In 2024, Veneto returned to the Boston-to-New York route, beginning at the Boston Public Garden’s 9/11 Contemplative Garden and finishing at Ground Zero in honor of American Airlines Flight 11.

During his visit to MyFM, Veneto spoke about the inspiration behind Paulie’s Push and his ongoing commitment to keeping the memories of the flight crews alive.
