MEDWAY – Medway Police have reposted their policy on automated license plate readers as Town Meeting prepares to consider a ban on the technology, including systems made by Flock Safety.
In a statement posted to social media, Medway Police say they support greater oversight and accountability for the technology but believe eliminating license plate readers altogether would take away an important investigative tool used to locate missing people and help solve crimes.
