MENDON – Mendon Special Town Meeting has approved changing the Town Clerk position from elected to appointed, but the change will still need to go before voters as a ballot question at the May town election.
Town Meeting also rejected a proposed bylaw regulating excessive noise. The Mendon Commons reports the measure was turned down in part to allow for more public input and clarification, with some residents and Select Board members saying they need more time to work through the proposal.
