HOPKINTON – The town’s PFAS filtration system is reportedly keeping levels below the allowable limit.
The Water and Sewer Advisory Board recently presented state data showing PFAS levels have dropped significantly since the town installed its granular activated carbon filtration system. The Hopkinton Independent reports one filter needed to be replaced sooner than anticipated, after about 14 months instead of the expected 18 months.
