The Taunton High School girls volleyball team picked up an impressive upset win over Sharon last night, defeating the Eagles in four sets.
The Tigers were led by Lily Selfridge, who recorded an outstanding 26 kills in the victory. Taunton dropped the second set, 22-25, but responded by winning the next two sets to close out the match.
Taunton came out strong in the decisive fourth set, jumping out to an 8-1 lead. Sharon battled back, but the Tigers held on to maintain their advantage and secure the four-set victory.
With the win, Taunton improves to 4-2 on the season and has now won three consecutive matches.
The Tigers will look to continue their winning streak on Friday at 5:15 p.m., when they travel to face Mansfield.
