Franklin Post 75 Blanks Sharon 7-0 Behind Dominant Pitching Performance

FRANKLIN — Franklin Post 75 continued its impressive summer with another complete performance Friday night, shutting out Sharon Post 106 by a score of 7-0 behind dominant pitching and timely offense in American Legion Baseball action.

Franklin struck early, plating four runs in the bottom of the first inning to immediately seize control. The hosts added single runs in the third, fourth, and sixth innings, while the pitching staff never allowed Sharon to mount a serious threat.

Owen Lewis was outstanding on the mound, earning the victory after tossing five scoreless innings. Lewis surrendered just three hits, walked two, and struck out seven while keeping Sharon off balance throughout his outing. Brady Short closed out the final two innings without allowing a hit, striking out one to complete the combined three-hit shutout.

Franklin’s offense made the most of its opportunities despite collecting just five hits. Sean Kryzak scored twice and added an RBI, while Owen Miller drove in a pair of runs. Andrew Hosford finished with a hit and an RBI, Gavin Heneghan doubled and scored, and Jack Sullivan contributed a hit while crossing the plate once.

Franklin’s aggressive baserunning also played a key role in the victory. Gavin Heneghan swiped three bases, Sean Kryzak and Jack Sullivan each stole two, while Andrew Hosford, Henry George, and Joe Goguen also recorded stolen bases as Post 75 consistently put pressure on Sharon’s defense.

With another well-rounded performance featuring stellar pitching, aggressive baserunning, and timely hitting, Franklin Post 75 now sits at 8-0, showcasing their ability to be one of the best in the state.
