UXBRIDGE – Visitors to the West Hill Dam recreation area in Uxbridge will need to make other plans this fall as the property closes for approximately two months of construction.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says the entrance and parking lots will be closed from September 15th through November 15th.

Work will include repaving the entire entrance from the street to the top of the dam. The project will also expand the existing parking lot by as many as 25 additional spaces.

The Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife says pheasants will not be stocked at West Hill Dam while construction is underway. Stocking is expected to resume during the week of November 16th following the scheduled completion of the work.
