HOLDEN — Local business 2 Mindful Girls will host a special kids yoga event later this month, giving children a chance to build confidence, practice mindfulness and have fun while supporting families impacted by childhood cancer.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to noon at 7 Saws Brewery, 112 Industrial Drive in Holden.
Designed for children in grades K-5, the two-hour program will include yoga, mindfulness activities and creative crafts led by 2 Mindful Girls. Parents are welcome to either stay for the event or drop their children off.
Registration is $20 per child, with a sibling option of two children for $35.
Every registration directly supports Fight Like A Kid, helping provide financial assistance to families facing childhood cancer.
Organizers say the event is intended to help children begin the school year with confidence, mindfulness and kindness while also giving them an opportunity to support other children and families in need.
The cost of registration includes the yoga session, mindfulness activities, make-and-take crafts and a donation to Fight Like A Kid.
