MENDON – Mendon is looking for residents to help identify ways the community can better prepare for the impacts of severe weather and climate change.
The town is seeking six community liaisons for its Municipal Vulnerability Preparedness Program, where participants will work with town staff to identify areas most at risk from flooding, extreme heat, drought, and other weather-related hazards.
According to the Mendon Commons, the position requires a commitment of approximately four to six hours per month over several months. Participants will receive a stipend of roughly $2,200 to help offset expenses.
