ATTLEBORO — One of Massachusetts’ rising football stars is receiving national recognition before his junior season has even begun.

Attleboro High School quarterback Brayden Desautel has been invited to participate in the 2027 Navy National Combine, becoming the only student-athlete from Massachusetts to receive an invitation to the prestigious showcase. The event annually brings together many of the nation’s top high school football prospects to compete in front of college coaches and evaluators from across the country.

The invitation marks another milestone for Desautel, who has quickly emerged as one of the state’s top young quarterbacks. As just a sophomore, he impressed with his poise, arm talent and football IQ, helping establish himself as one of the premier signal-callers in Massachusetts and drawing increasing attention from college programs and recruiting analysts.

Being selected for the Navy National Combine places Desautel among an elite group of high school athletes from around the country. The showcase provides participants an opportunity to demonstrate their athletic ability, compete against other top prospects and gain valuable exposure as they continue through the recruiting process.

For Attleboro High School, the invitation is a testament to both Desautel’s development and the strength of the Bombardiers football program. With two seasons of high school eligibility still ahead of him, the quarterback will have plenty of opportunities to continue building on an already impressive résumé.

As the 2026 high school football season approaches, Desautel will once again lead Attleboro under center, now carrying the distinction of being the Commonwealth’s lone representative at one of the nation’s premier football combines.
