MEDWAY – Residents enrolled in Medway’s Community Choice Power Supply program will see new electricity rates beginning next month.
Town officials announced a new two-year agreement with First Point Power that takes effect in September. Under the agreement, the basic electricity supply rate will be approximately 16 cents per kilowatt-hour.
While the town estimates the new pricing will increase the average monthly electric bill by about $21, officials say the rate remains approximately 9 percent lower than Eversource’s current Residential Basic Service rate. Residents with questions about the aggregation program are encouraged to contact the Town of Medway.
