MENDON – Electric rates will increase slightly this fall for customers enrolled in Mendon’s Community Choice Power Supply Program.

Beginning in September, the program’s rate will rise from approximately 14 cents per kilowatt-hour to about 16 cents per kilowatt-hour. According to the Mendon Commons, the new rate remains roughly one cent lower than National Grid’s current basic service rate.

The new pricing has been locked in through September 2028 for customers participating in the town’s municipal aggregation program, which is administered through Direct Energy Services.
