MEDWAY – Medway Police Chief William Kingsbury is providing residents with a closer look at how the department responds to mental health emergencies.
In a detailed public statement, Kingsbury explained how officers work alongside embedded mental health clinicians to assist people experiencing behavioral health crises and connect them with appropriate resources.
The chief said Medway Police responded to 107 mental health-related calls in 2025. So far this year, officers have already handled more than 160 such calls, highlighting what he described as a growing need for crisis intervention services.
