Franklin Increases Winter Parking Ban Fines

FRANKLIN – Franklin drivers who violate winter parking bans will face steeper fines beginning this winter.

The Franklin Town Council recently approved a new penalty structure that raises the fine to $100 for a first offense, $200 for a second offense, and $300 for a third and all subsequent violations.

Town officials say the increased fines are intended to keep roads clear for snowplows and emergency vehicles during winter storms, allowing crews to remove snow more safely and efficiently.
