MILFORD – Milford Police say they will continue patrolling the Shadowbrook Quarries following two serious incidents in the past two weeks.
Police Chief Robert Tusino said the department’s officers regularly patrol the property, remove trespassers, and have even towed vehicles to discourage people from entering the dangerous area.
The renewed warning comes after a 17-year-old drowned while swimming at the quarries over the weekend, just one week after an 18-year-old woman suffered a serious head injury after falling from a rock ledge. Tusino said the property is clearly marked with no trespassing signs, but officers can only continue enforcement efforts to keep people from entering the hazardous site.
