GRAFTON – State and local officials are moving forward with safety improvements at a Grafton intersection following last month’s fatal motorcycle crash that claimed the life of an off-duty Massachusetts State Trooper.

Trooper Jacob Mick was killed on June 28th after a crash at the intersection of Providence Road and Milford Road.

State Representative David Muradian told the Telegram & Gazette that the intersection had already been under discussion with MassDOT before the crash, noting there have been 23 reported crashes there over the past three years.

According to Muradian, improved pavement markings and flashing warning lights are expected to be installed later this summer, while a larger redesign that could square off the intersection is being considered for the future.
