WESTBOROUGH – Construction is underway on a major roadway improvement project along Otis Street in Westborough.

The approximately $7 million project will modernize the Route 9 and Otis Street intersection, install a new traffic signal near Target, and create a 10-foot-wide shared-use path connecting Arrive Drive and Hocomonco Pond.

According to the Community Advocate, most of the current work is taking place behind the scenes, but residents can expect heavy construction equipment to become more visible later this month.

The project is expected to continue through at least next spring and is being funded through a combination of local, state, and federal grants.
