North County Sweeps Framingham in Doubleheader with 4-3 Game 2 Victory

FRAMINGHAM — North County Post 193 completed a doubleheader sweep of Framingham Post 117 Tuesday night, edging out a 4-3 victory in the nightcap after also winning Game 1 by the same score.

The two teams traded blows throughout the seven-inning contest. North County struck first with a run in the opening inning, but Framingham answered with runs in the fifth and sixth innings to grab a 3-1 lead. Trailing entering the bottom of the seventh, North County mounted one final rally, scoring three runs to walk off with the dramatic 4-3 win.

Adam Adams delivered the biggest hit of the night, driving in the game winning run with an RBI single, finishing with a 1-3 statline. Rocky Lora, Nate Snoonian, Steven Escano, and Will Gage each collected a hit as North County finished with seven hits.

Adams was dominant on the mound, tossing a complete-game victory. The right-hander allowed three runs, only two earned, on eight hits while striking out seven and walking just one over seven innings.

Framingham out-hit North County, 8-7, led by Brian Chagnon’s 3-for-4 performance. James Winders added two hits, including a triple, and drove in a run, while Joey Secatore contributed an RBI single. Zack Deptula reached base twice with a hit and a walk.

Michael Chagnon turned in an outstanding effort for Framingham, striking out 12 over six innings while allowing just three earned runs on five hits. James Winders entered in relief in the seventh but was charged with the game-winning run as North County completed its late comeback.

The victory capped a successful evening for North County, which swept both games of the District 4 American Legion Baseball doubleheader and continued to build momentum in the league standings.
