FRANKLIN/BELLINGHAM – Police have captured a Franklin man who sparked a multi-town manhunt after allegedly leading officers on a pursuit and fleeing into the woods.
Authorities say Dominick Revell of Franklin, who has several active warrants and an extensive criminal history, was taken into custody following an intensive search involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
The incident began Tuesday morning when a Franklin Police officer attempted to stop Revell while he was driving a truck. Police say Revell fled, eventually crashing on Pond Street before running from the scene. Investigators say he then swam across a small river and disappeared into a wooded area near the Franklin-Bellingham line.
Police used K-9 units, drones, and other resources in an effort to locate him. While officials have not yet released details about exactly where or how Revell was found, Franklin and Bellingham Police credited assistance from the Foxborough, Milford, and Millis Police Departments in bringing the search to a successful conclusion.
Additional information, including any new charges stemming from the pursuit and search, is expected as the investigation continues.
