HOPKINTON – The annual Sharon Timlin Memorial 5K: A Race to Cure ALS takes place this Saturday, June 13th beginning at 8:30 AM.
The race honors the memory of Sharon Timlin, mother of former Boston Red Sox pitcher Mike Timlin, who lost her battle with ALS. Proceeds benefit the Angel Fund for ALS Research, supporting research efforts at UMass Chan Medical School.
Registration remains open at www.sharontimlinrace.org. Motorists should also be prepared for temporary road closures Saturday morning, including portions of Hayden Rowe Street between Grove Street and Chestnut Street.
