HOPKINTON – The Hopkinton Select Board has elected Shahidul Mannan as its new chair. Mannan was nominated by outgoing chair Joe Clark, who then nominated Matthew Kizner to serve as vice chair. Both appointments received unanimous support from the board.
In other business, officials announced that Hopkinton will maintain its AAA bond rating following a favorable financial audit. However, board members also expressed concern that future spending on school construction projects and other major capital expenses could impact future audits and financial ratings.
