Ducklings Safely Rescued in Ashland

ASHLAND – A teamwork-filled rescue operation in Ashland recently helped reunite a family of ducks.

The Ashland Police Department assisted the Ashland Fire Department after five ducklings became trapped inside an overflow box at a pond on Eliot Street.

With help from the Fire Department’s Engine 2 crew and Officer Manny Toscano, the ducklings were carefully rescued and safely reunited with their nearby mother.

Officials say the call served as a reminder that sometimes the smallest rescues can bring the biggest smiles to the community.
