FRANKLIN – The Franklin Food Pantry says this year’s Stamp Out Hunger campaign brought in approximately 10,000 pounds of food and household essentials, equal to about 8,300 meals for local residents in need.
The annual effort took place on Saturday, May 9, with residents leaving donation bags for Franklin’s letter carriers to collect. Pantry officials thanked local businesses and organizations for helping sort donations, along with Allegra Print and Marketing for donating the collection bags.
